Text Any textual data included in the document Como resultado de los trabajos de revisión bibliográfica y bases de datos on line, y las prospecciones botánicas llevadas a cabo en los últimos años en el Parque Nacional Picos de Europa (PNPE), se ha podido constatar la presencia de 1753 taxones de flora vascular en este espacio natural protegido. El actual estado de conocimiento de la flora picoeuropeana, en el que se representa aproximadamente el 22% de la diversidad florística estimada para el territorio Íbero-balear, nos ha permitido reconocer 1395 taxones a nivel específico, 289 a nivel subespecífico y 19 a nivel varietal. El recuento se completa con 46 híbridos, tanto interespecíficos (nothoespecies) como genéricos (nothogéneros) y 4 taxones que han tenido que mantenerse a nivel de sección. La flora vascular del PNPE se reparte entre 125 familias botánicas y 606 géneros. Las familias que más destacan por su contribución numérica al catálogo son las siguientes: Compositae (186), Gramineae (166), Leguminosae (109), Rosaceae (97) y Caryophyllaceae (77). En el trabajo se aporta información sobre los avances que, a lo largo del tiempo, se han hecho en el conocimiento florístico del territorio (en base a las fuentes bibliográficas utilizadas para la elaboración de este catálogo y a la fecha de las recolecciones florísticas depositadas en herbarios). Se analiza el reparto altitudinal de la flora en el PNPE, el espectro biológico de la misma y su corología. Se dedica una especial atención al análisis de la componente endémica y subendémica, presentando listados de los taxones que no rebasan el ámbito picoeuropeano (9), aquellos que son propios de los territorios cantábricos (75), comunes al eje pirenaico-cantábrico (72) y restringidos al N y NW de la Península Ibérica (47). Por Por último, se revisa el actual estado de protección legal de la flora del PNPE a nivel nacional y autonómico (catálogo nacional de especies amenazadas y catálogos regionales) y su situación de amenaza en el contexto español, en base a la Lista Roja de la Flora Vascular Española publicada en 2008. Se analiza el reparto geográfico de referencias bibliográficas y pliegos de herbario, para poner de manifiesto el desigual conocimiento florístico que se tiene del territorio del PNPE y se listan 94 taxones que han de buscarse en el territorio porque han sido citados en las proximidades del PNPE y otros que, por sus dudosa identificación, no han sido incluidos en este catálogo.
